With winter on its way out that means the biggest allergy season of all is knocking at the door. In most parts of the world, spring is the time when pollen blankets the earth and everyone’s allergies start to act up. If you are anything like me you would prefer allergy treatment options that are all natural. So with this article, I am going to outline 4 allergy treatment options that are all natural and very effective.
Avoid Allergy Triggers
This just may be the easiest way to avoid having an allergic reaction. Now I know you can’t avoid everything you are allergic to. But there are some things you can stay away from. Doing so can eliminate symptoms such as sneezing, coughing and runny nose. If you can completely avoid being around allergens there is a good chance you won’t need to take allergy medication. That, of course, means you won’t have to worry about the negative side effects
Like I said earlier, I do realize there are some instances where you simply can’t avoid being around or coming in contact with allergens. If that is the case read the other three treatment options I have listed below.
Drink Apple Cider Vinegar
This is a treatment option that goes way back. It is actually used for a variety of different health conditions other than allergies. Hundreds of thousands of people have been able to get allergy relief by sipping on this interesting tasting drink. Apple cider vinegar has the ability to reduce the production of mucus as well as cleanse your lymphatic system. This is what makes it a great option for allergy treatment and relief.
For best results use organic unfiltered apple cider vinegar. Mix it into a glass of water and drink it, at least, three times a day. Those with acute allergy symptoms have been able to find relief with this method.
Take The Supplement Quercetin
Quercetin is an all natural bioflavonoid that helps stabilize certain cells and prevent them from releasing the chemical histamine. It can also help reduce inflammation due to it’s potent antioxidant properties. For best results you should start taking it up to 6 weeks before allergy season sets in. As with any herb or supplement, you should check with your doctor before taking it.
Especially if you are pregnant, plan on getting pregnant or have liver problems. There are several foods where you can get Quercetin naturally. The problem is these foods don’t give you the amount you need to provide the relief you need. That’s why it is suggested you take the supplement.
Change Your Diet
This is another very simple way to treat allergies. As the saying goes, we are what we eat. And what you eat could very well be the answer to your allergy problems. Now I am no doctor, but I do know allergies often occur because the immune system isn’t strong enough to fight them off. By eating a clean diet fully of fruits, vegetables, and lean meats, you will give your immune system a boost and may be able to ward off allergy symptoms.
Do you have any other treatments that you have used that were effective? If so, we would love to hear from you about what you used and how it worked for you. Please let us know by using the contact us page. Who knows maybe you can write an article for us on it.
